Mary Margaret Korn & Greenwich Avenue Win Children's Hunters 14 & Under

WELLINGTON, Fla., Mar. 22--Mary Margaret Korn and Greenwich Avenue won the over fences class in the Children's Hunters 14 & under at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising Saturday.

Korn, 13,of Cincinnati, Ohio and the 12-year-old bay gelding, owned by Rachel Degabrielle of Jupiter, Fla. started the weekend by finishing on top of a field of 31 in the first over fences class of the division. Korn rides with trainer Tim Goguen of Wellington and this will be her second show on Greenwich Avenue.

"I love him," Korn said. "He is the greatest horse because he puts up with my mistakes. I was confident going into the ring and I felt he was really good."

The red ribbon over fences was awarded to the 11-year-old gray gelding, Maxim and rider and owner Phoebe Robinson, 13, of Bronxville, N.Y. Robinson was assisted by trainer Kristin Mauks and Geoff Teall of Wellington.

The blue ribbon in the under saddle was awarded to Gabrielle Bausano of New York and the nine-year-old black gelding, Renoir, owned by Kelsey Ray Calabro of Watermill, N.Y. and trained by Laura Bowery of Bridgehampton, N.Y.

Second place in the under saddle was awarded to the five-year-old bay gelding, Dance Card, and Avery Alatis,13, of Gatesmills, Ohio. Alatis rides with trainer Jeff Gogul of Chargin Falls, Ohio.

Sunday the division will finish with two more classes over fences and the pinning of champion and reserve.
