Maureen Gallatin Named to International Board

Lexington, KY — Maureen Gallatin has been invited to join the International Coordinating Team of Affiliated International Ministries (AIM). AIM is the umbrella organization coordinating the Christian ministries of service, education, and outreach related to the World Equestrian Games in Lexington as well as the related activities around the U.S. and in other countries during and leading up to the Games in 2010. One area involves literacy, with a focus on the 3Rs for young people — that’s reading, riding, and relating. AIM is comprised of about 40 organizations representing over 4,000 churches and voluntary groups, one of which is Equestrian Ministries International.

“We are so pleased to have someone with Maureen’s background — horsemanship, writing, marketing, and Christian ministry” said Larry Martin, coordinator of AIM and Executive Director of Equestrian Ministries International. “We have asked her to help us network equine professionals who would like to volunteer for the games and participate in ministry, as well as assist us in areas related to written and other materials.”

That fits hand-in-glove with Maureen’s business, which is coaching equine professionals with regard to their marketing, as well as freelance work in writing and ministry. Maureen has been networking Christians in the horse industry, and she sees the World Equestrian Games as a wonderful opportunity to introduce trainers and other professionals from many countries to each other.

“I am really thrilled with the tone and focus of the AIM group,” said Maureen. “These people are concerned about sharing God’s love and offering good old-fashioned Christian hospitality. They recognize it’s not about religious activity but about building relationships and being of service. I encourage anyone who would like to join with us to contact me.”

The formal launch of the AIM Program will be February 12, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Imani Church in Lexington, Ky. Members of the International Coordinating Team and the Lexington Executive Council will be recognized at that time.
