PhelpsSports.com Plans World Wide Debut in August for World Equestrian Games

Wellington, Fl – January 4, 2006 – Mason Phelps, Jr., President of Phelps Media Group, Inc. International, announced today the planned debut of PhelpsSports.com, a new and highly innovative equestrian sports website.
“We plan to take the coverage of world wide equestrian sports to a new level,” said Phelps in a Tuesday morning press conference at their corporate offices in Wellington, Florida. “With the debut of the Phelps Sports website, equestrians and fans of equestrian sports from around the world will have a single web address to visit to catch up on the latest breaking news of the Hunter, Jumper, Dressage, and High Performance disciplines,” explained Phelps. “Our website will include up to the minute audio reports, live video interviews and features from around the globe, photography, and the creative writing and reporting of some of the finest equestrian journalists in the world.”
The Phelps Sports website is being designed by Jake Cormier. Cormier has experience in writing, photography, marketing, customer service and media, as well as web and print design and computer programming. Cormier, designer of the Phelps Media Group website, also created the brand new United States Equestrian Team Foundation website.
Jon Kassel will join Cormier in the programming of PhelpsSports.com. Kassel, who has years of experience with computer programming, graphic design, database design, and web design, encompasses a thorough knowledge of both the equestrian world and electronic technology. Kassel has developed websites for Showplace Productions, Equestrian Management Group, the Capital Challenge Horse Show, the Royal Winter Fair, and the Hampton Classic.
Set for an August debut to coincide with the 2006 World Equestrian Games at Aachen, Germany, Phelps Sports.com will include the writing and reporting of Peter and Jean Llewellyn, Diana DeRosa, Ken Braddick, Mary Hilton, Kenneth Kraus, Jennifer Wood, Jenny Ross, Kendra Cecieta, Amber Heintzberger, Hallie McEvoy, and many others.
“I’m very excited about the staff that is currently assembled for Phelps Sports.com,” Phelps said. “And I’m even more excited about some of the international talent that we’ll be announcing a little later this year.”
According to Phelps, PhelpsSports.com will be strictly dedicated to reporting equestrian news, in depth coverage of equestrian competitions, and the people who make those events happen.
“We’ll continue to represent our clients through Phelps Media Group, while PhelpsSports.com will be its own autonomous news operation with headquarters in Wellington, Florida,” Phelps explained. “I believe that the future of equestrian sports coverage is on the Internet, and the future of Internet equestrian coverage is PhelpsSports.com.”
First time and early subscribers will be offered a discounted rate when the website debuts later this year.
