DENVER, CO - All presenters whose abstracts are accepted for the 2007 North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, Inc. (NARHA) National Conference by the NARHA Health and Education Committee will receive 10% off the full conference registration fee. Individuals interested in speaking at the 2007 NARHA National Conference November 14-17, 2007, are invited to submit the completed electronic Abstract Submission Form (go to http://www.narha.org) to NARHA by March 16, 2007. Abstract applicants will be notified by May 15, 2007.

The 2007 National Conference and Annual Meeting, NARHA’s premier educational event held in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Marriott, is geared to all horse people interested in learning more about equine assisted activities and therapeutic riding. The Conference includes educational seminars, an all-day Horse Fair, exhibits, silent auction and an awards banquet night.

Nearly 100 NARHA riding instructors, center administrators, professors and therapists will offer presentations on the current research in the field of equine assisted activities, hippotherapy, instruction, administration and mental health.

Saturday’s all-day NARHA Horse Fair, located at the J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center, a NARHA Premier Accredited Center in San Juan Capistrano, California, is an exciting day of demonstrations and hands-on opportunities. A special one-day pass will be offered for the Fair.

The Saturday Night Awards Banquet will once again be the sentimental, celebratory highlight of the conference as NARHA celebrates its Horse of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Equestrians of the Year, Instructor of the Year and announces the other top-secret award winners.

Soak up a wealth of equine knowledge, explore the exhibit area, bid on unique merchandise at the Silent Auction and come away inspired by great ideas and touched by heart-warming success stories.

The North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, located in Denver, Colorado, was formed in 1969 to promote equine assisted activities for individuals with special needs. At over 700 member centers, more than 38,000 children and adults find a sense of independence through involvement with horses. More than 29,000 volunteers, 2600 instructors, 5,800 therapy horses, and thousands of contributors from all over the world are helping people at NARHA centers.
