NATBS Member Rockin Affair Wins Dressage at Devon

Two-year-old Filly Takes Blue in Sport Horse In Hand Class

MADISON, NJ, October 20, 2008 – The North American Thoroughbred Society (NATBS), a company that promotes the interests of Jockey Club-registered North American Thoroughbreds, today announced that Rockin Affair, a two-year-old Thoroughbred filly owned by NATBS member Craig Seyfried, took first place at the Dressage at Devon Individual Breed Sport Horse In Hand class, sponsored by NATBS. The win showcased Rockin Affair’s fluid movement and validated trainer Amanda Enright’s recognition of her potential.

Rockin Affair was hand-picked by Enwright, of Blackhorse Stables, from a field of over 100 top-notch Thoroughbreds sold in May at the Mountain Spring, Pennsylvania auction. Enright immediately recognized the filly as a horse with the potential of developing into an outstanding performance horse.

“We agreed to bring her home and see what she could do,” said owner Craig Seyfried from Stonewall Stables. “Her fluid movements were extremely eye-catching to the auction crowd.”

The choice paid off as Rockin Affair achieved a first-in-class blue ribbon at the prestigious Dressage at Devon Horse show in the Individual Breed Sport Horse In Hand Class. Nicknamed “Mia” after the Miata sports car, whose tight, fluid movements she imitates, Rockin Affair is only 2 years and one-half old but is filling out nicely. Enwright expects her to develop into a serious competition horse for a lucky rider.

Also in the class, NATBS member Theodore Robinson captured second place with Tempesta Tempo and third place with Estrella Tiempo, both whom he owns.
