NRHA Withdraws Proposed Strategic Plan
Equestrian News Release
The Executive Board of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) has voted to withdraw the proposed Strategic Plan. This plan called for the creation of a U.S. affiliate with a new governance structure and a realignment of the governance for the NRHA as a worldwide association. The Executive Board has determined that to serve the membership needs better a new plan will be constructed in the near future.
Bylaws changes have been submitted to the membership for a vote in June. If the legal counsel determines that these bylaws changes can be voted on without the Strategic Plan, they will remain on the vote for June. If any modification of the changes is necessary, these will be done in the near future and submitted for a membership vote.
Incorporated in 1966, the National Reining Horse Association is the governing body of the sport of Reining. NRHA, with their International Headquarters in Oklahoma City, is responsible for promoting the sport of Reining and working to ensure the highest standards of competition. The NRHA continues to educate its members and the public about Reining.
