Old Friends Annual Homecoming Event is May 3

GEORGETOWN, KYó APRIL 13, 2009 óMark your calendars for the first Sunday in May.

On Sunday, May 3rd, Old Friends, the Thoroughbred retirement farm in Georgetown, KY, will host its Annual Homecoming. Friends and fans are invited to come and celebrate the farmís fifth year and to meet all of our champion retirees, including newest residents Clever Allemont, Mighty Mecke, top sprinter Bonapaw, and Eclipse-award winners The Wicked North and Hidden Lake.

The Homecoming begins at 5pm on Sunday at Old Friends' Dream Chase Farm, 1841 Paynes Depot Road, Gerogetown, K., and will feature an appetizer buffet catered by top-rated deli and bakery Wallace Station, live bluegrass music, farm tours, and a live and silent auction of incredible crafts, artwork, jewelry, and racing memorabilia, including many collectible halters.

Several surprise guests are also expected to attend.

Tickets are $50 ($25 for shareholders and Old Friends members) and reservations can be made by calling the farm at 502-863-1775. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Located on 1841 Paynes Depot Road in Georgetown, KY, Old Friends is home to more than 30 retired Thoroughbreds, including 16 stallions. Among the many Champions are Eclipse Award winners Sunshine Forever and The Wicked North, the great sprinter Ogygian, stakes winner Danthebluegrassman, and millionaire Awad. The farm is open daily to tourists by appointment.
