'Our Horses, Our Art' to Offer Distinct Equestrian Wine & Chocolate Tasting

Goshen, Massachusetts— January 29, 2007—Winston Churchill is attributed with saying that the outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man, and for the second consecutive year, Massachusetts Horse magazine will present how the horse as art, interpreted by equestrian artisans, is also good for the soul. After a successful debut last summer as the most valuable – and varied -- collection of equestrian art in recent area history, Massachusetts Horse is pleased to announce another diverse lineup of artists for this summer’s “Our Horses, Our Art,” hosted July 22-28 by Skera Contemporary Crafts, 221 Main Street, Northampton, Massachusetts.

A July 23 opening reception, “Unbridled Hospitality,” will features a collaboration among Massachusetts Horse and featured presenters, Province Imports, Ltd., (Provinceimports.com) of Madison, Connecticut, importers of Spanish wines; and Unbridled Chocolates, (Unbridledchocolates.com) of Keene, New Hampshire, makers of natural and organic Belgian chocolates and desserts. While meeting local artists and equestrians, guests may sample wines and chocolates and discover what goes into their successful pairing.

“Our Horses, Our Art was so well received that we were asked if it would become an annual event, and we are happy to comply” says exhibit organizer, L.A. Pomeroy, of Massachusetts Horse. Publisher Stephanie Sanders-Ferris adds, “The mission of our magazine is to grow our local horse community and make those vital connections that we all need to make our horse experiences richer. This celebration of horses, by artists and equestrians who love them, is part of that.” A love of the horse connects Our Horses, Our Art participants: wine purveyor Alex Province, who co-founded Province Imports, Ltd. with his brother Stephen, is a polo player, and chocolatier Alan Crofut says, “Unbridled Chocolates began in the kitchen of friends who shared a love of horses and the lifestyle they represented.”

Share your love of fine horses, fine wine, and delicate chocolates during Our Horses, Our Art, July 22-28, or the Unbridled Hospitality opening reception, July 23, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Skera Contemporary Crafts and Gallery, 221 Main Street, Northampton.
