Equestrian News Release
Instructor of the Year by the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA).
Each year ARIA selects one person who best depicts safety, knowledge, professionalism, integrity and creativity in teaching students, and names that person Instructor of the Year. ARIA was established in 1984 to help promote safe, knowledgeable riding instruction. Its instructor certification is meant for the serious, above-average instructor who teaches safely and in a professional, competent manner, with high standards of honesty and integrity. ARIA certifies instructors on three levels (teaching beginning, intermediate or advanced riders) in 14 specialty areas: distance riding, dressage, driving, eventing, hunt seat, mounted patrol training officer, recreational riding, reining, riding to hounds, saddle seat, show jumping, side-saddle, stable management, and Western Pleasure & equitation.
Peggy is one of very few ARIA instructors with the special certification of Level IV, which means that she is an expert instructor and an instructor educator. She is certified in driving, dressage, hunt seat, recreational riding, stable management and Western Pleasure and equitation. She is also long-listed on the United States Equestrian Federation's (USEF) competitive driving team.
ARIA announced Peggy's award at its annual convention in Orlando, Florida, October 20 - 23.
