Prize List and Entry Forms Go Online for the Jumper Classic

Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, June 16, 2009 -- The Jumper Classic, New England's premier equestrian show jumping event with more than 70 classes and $200,000 in prize money, announced today that the 2009 Prize List and entry forms are now available online at http://www.jumperclassic.com under the Rider Information link.

"This year we are introducing a new way for competitors to read the prize list via the internet or email. The complete prize list can now be downloaded or emailed as an online page-by-page document that can be read in book format. It is just another way we are trying to "go green" and expedite sending the show information to our riders," says Melissa Lovasco, President of the Jumper Classic.

The show, featuring five full days of competition, opens September 2nd and culminates in the $75,000 Fidelity Investments Grand Prix on Sunday, September 6th.

This year, the Jumper Classic celebrates its 20th anniversary and continues its tradition of providing top notch facilities for competitors. After its inaugural year at its new location, Silver Oak Equestrian Center, in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, the show managers expanded the competition to include several new classes that will appeal to all levels of riders and their trainers, including equitation classes, low jumper classes and an exciting Pro-Am class. To accommodate the increased participation, classes will be held in three all-weather rings on the show grounds, situated amongst picturesque apple orchards and farmland in this quintessential New England town.

Lower Level, Equitation, and Medals Classes to Be Offered

"At the request of many of our trainers we have added a third all-weather ring Sponsored by Elite Barn Structures for some lower level training jumper classes for the beginner students as well as equitation classes and medal classes," said Peggy Lynch, Show Manager for Jumper Classic. "We will offer these classes Thursday through Saturday, leaving Sundays classes to focus solely on the Grand Prix Field".

Both a Children's Classic and Adult's Classic are offered with prize money of $1,500 awarded by sponsors Gloucester Graphics and Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS).

Exciting Pro/Am Class Pairs Riders in Unique Combination's

"To add to the weekend excitement, we will offer a Pro/Am Class, sponsored by our long time friends at Stepping Stone Farm," said Jeff Papows, Chairman of the Jumper Classic. "We welcome all riders to enter this fun class and put on a good performance for the Saturday crowds!" The Pro/Am class pairs a professional rider and an amateur rider who jump the course in relay fashion.

Derby Thrills Both Riders and Spectators

"Our first Derby, sponsored by our friends at Mohegan Sun, was a big hit last year," said Papows. "The class will offer $12,000 in prize money this year. Peter Leone from Lions Share Farm will be defending his title so Grand Prix Riders, bring your brave up-and-coming horse for Saturday Derby!" said Papows.

Five Days of Competition with Classes for All Levels Culminates in Highest Level of the Sport

From the very young riders to those over 40 competing in the Master's Division, there are multiple classes that will appeal to all levels of riders and their horses. On Sunday, September 6th, the highest level of the sport will be showcased in the $75,000 Fidelity Investments Grand Prix, New England's only AGA rated competition. Last years winner was McLain Ward, 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist. The exciting $15,000 Equine Insurance Services Speed Stake will kick off this special day that brings out the top riders.

Jumper Classic Known as the Riders Show

With a long tradition of being known as "the riders show", the Jumper Classic makes extraordinary arrangements for its exhibitors. "Our spacious show grounds have plenty of warm-up rings and all weather footing, plus we have stabling for over five hundred horses and ample parking for trailers," said Peggy Lynch, Show Manager.

"We invite riders of all levels to come enjoy our premier show grounds, participate in outstanding competition, and enjoy the festivities we've planned for athletes and spectators alike," said Melissa Lovasco, President of the Jumper Classic.
