Feature Race Analysis Challenge returns for Breeders' Cup prep season

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Feature Race Analysis Challenge, a multimedia interactive contest available on the THOROUGHBRED TIMES website, http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com, returns for the summer and fall racing seasons and contains many of the leading preps for the Breeders' Cup World Championships on October 24-25 at Santa Anita Park.
The FRA Challenge for the summer and fall will include 13 races and starts with the Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) on August 3 at Monmouth Park.
Other races in the FRA Challenge include such prestigious events as the Arlington Million Stakes (G1), Travers Stakes (G1), Pacific Classic Stakes (G1), and Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes (G1). The contest concludes with the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) on October 25 at Santa Anita.
Participants will be asked to select the winners of 13 stakes races leading up to and including the Classic. Scoring for the seasonal contest is based on the official finish position of each race, with ten points earned for first, three points for second, and one point for third.
The individual who accumulates the most points over the 13 races will be awarded a $200 cash prize. The runner-up in the FRA Challenge will receive the soon-to-be released book Foundation Mares, by THOROUGHBRED TIMES Bloodstock Editor John P. Sparkman. The third-place finisher will receive a 2009 THOROUGHBRED TIMES Racing Almanac.
To help contestants follow the action leading up to the Breeders' Cup, THOROUGHBRED TIMES launched its Road to the Breeders' Cup website, available at http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com in late July.
