Kristi Siam Wins Reserve Championship in L.A. Senior Medal Finals

Burbank, CA – November 15, 2006 – Karen Healey Stables had a triumphant weekend at the National Preview Horse Show at the L.A. Equestrian Center in Burbank on November 8-12, 2006. Kristi Siam of Chatsworth, CA, finished second in the L.A. Senior Medal Finals, while Malibu’s Yvette Lang-Einczig was fifth.

Siam moved up from seventh place in the first round to third in the second round. A solid final round gave her the reserve champion honors. She also picked up a fourth place ribbon in the CPHA Foundation medal out of 68 riders.

In the L.A. Junior Medal Finals, Samantha Harrison of La Cañada, CA, was seventh. Harrison won the USEF Medal class out of 36 riders, and Carly Anthony of Redmond, WA, rode Tammy Chipko’s All That to fourth place. Harrison continued her success when she won the PCHA 14 & Under Medal and was second out of 68 riders in the CPHA Foundation Medal class. She was third in the WIHS Equitation Classic. On Santika, Harrison finished third in the 1.20m Jumpers Stake class and second in the 1.15m Jumpers.

Samantha’s sister, Haley Harrison, finished as the reserve champion in the 11 & Under Equitation division and won good ribbons in the Children’s Hunter 11 & Under on Gillespie.

The Dickinson mother/daughter duo from Los Angeles had their fair share of victories at National Preview. Elizabeth Dickinson rode four horses to ribbons. On Here’s Johnny, she won the Equitation 36 & Over jumping class and the HBO Adult Medal and finished second in the USEF Adult Medal and CPHA Amateur Medal classes. She and Farina picked up two second place finishes for the reserve championship in the Modified Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers. Dickinson rode two horses in the Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper division. Fabius 45 was first, fifth, and fifth, while Cacique was second, third, and fourth.

Holly Dickinson piloted Victor to second place in the HBO Children’s Medal, fourth in the PCHA 14 & Under Medal, and fourth in the Rosewood Medal. On White Gold, she was reserve champion in the Children’s 12-14 Hunters after they finished first, third, and fifth.

Yasmine Abdallat and Team Harmony’s More Glory competed in the Modified Junior/A-O Jumpers with consistent results. They placed third, fourth, and fourth and were also sixth in the 1.20m Jumper Stake class

Navona Gallegos of Santa Fe, NM, rode Lando V to the reserve championship in the Children’s Jumper. They were second, second, and third in the division, as well as third in the 1.10m Jumpers and fourth in the $1,000 Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic. On Articulate, Gallegos won the Equitation 14-15 under saddle, was second in the ASPCA Maclay and fifth in the WIHS Equitation Classic.

Victoria Eseke of Santa Barbara, CA, rode Sjapoo to second place in the 1.10m Jumpers and third in the Modified Junior/A-O Jumpers. Professional rider Gabriella Salick rode Flawless for owner Ilan Ferder to second place in the 1.30m Jumpers and third in the 1.20m Jumpers. On Cartier, owned by Julie Elizabeth Hansel, Salick was seventh in the 1.20m Jumpers. She also rode Pilot Memori for Karoline Sauls to sixth place in the 1.15m Jumpers.

Sauls, of Agoura Hills, CA, took over the ride on Pilot Memori to place fifth in the 1.00m Jumpers and seventh in the Adult Amateur Jumpers. On Kaiser Leopold, Sauls was fourth in the Equitation 36 & Over jumping class.

A new addition to the Karen Healey Stables team is Katie Hallmark, who rode Corland for Lang-Einczig. Hallmark finished second in the Maiden Equitation over fences and fourth on the flat. They were third in the Children’s Hunter 12-14 under saddle.

In the ASPCA Maclay National Championship at the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament, Karen Healey Stables had two riders in the top 25. The class hosted 148 of the best junior equitation riders in the nation. Tina Dilandri of La Jolla, CA, rode RSVP to tenth place, while Hannah Selleck of Thousand Oaks and Truffle were 16th.

Karen Healey Stables saddles up next to compete at the Los Angeles National Horse Show in Burbank on November 15-19, 2006.
