Blue Ribbons-and Skies-For Clarity and Farmer in Green Conformation Hunters at Tampa Equestrian Festival

Tampa, FL - March 27, 2008 - It was just another day at the office for Kelley Farmer and Clarity during their second week at the Tampa Bay Classic held at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center. The Tampa Equestrian Festival runs from March 19-April 6, 2008.

Clarity, owned by Larry Glefke of Keswick, VA, picked up the championship in the Green Conformation Hunter division. The flashy 5 year old bay gelding made it look easy as he set the bar for the rest of the competitors. His first class mimicked his second as Farmer rode him easily to double blue ribbons.

"His barn name is Oreo and he is the most amazing animal I have ever owned. Wait until you see him jump four foot," said Glefke. "He has been champion in the Regular Working and Regular Conformation at least three or four times this year."

Right behind with reserve champion were Mary Eufemia and Black Pearl, owned by Madison Miller of Franklin, TN, who put in two stellar rounds of her own.

In the Green Working Hunters, this time it was Eufemia and Unbelievable, who grabbed the blues and a championship. Unbelievable he was, never missed a step and beat out reserve champion rider Amanda Steege and True Fate, owned by Jessica Lundgren of New York, NY.

"I was a little concerned having it combined with the Second Years, but he just tries so hard, and he is great every time," said Eufemia. "Right now we are working with him to keep his head down and not to over-jump, sometimes he jumps too high and is too careful. He is just the coolest; he really is unbelievable."

Competition for the Tampa Bay Classic continues through Sunday, March 30. The highlight class for hunters at the Tampa Equestrian Festival is the $20,000 ASG Software Solutions USHJA International Hunter Derby. The class will host a "Tradition, Tailgate, Top Hot, and Tails" party and will be held on Sunday, April 6, at 1 p.m. at Wrenwood Farm in Naples, FL.
