Red Bank, NJ – July 12, 2006 - The 2006 “Ride for Riverview” will take place Wednesday, August 16 through Sunday, August 20 at East Freehold Park, on Kozlowski Road in Freehold, New Jersey. Ride for Riverview is a fundraising event which benefits the Jane H. and John Marshall Booker Cancer Center at Riverview Medical Center and is held in conjunction with one of the oldest continuous equestrian events in the nation, the Monmouth County Horse Show. The Ride for Riverview Committee, chaired by Carol Stillwell of Holmdel, has raised more than $550,000 for the Booker Cancer Center since its inception in 1998.
Ride for Riverview spectators are invited to come witness exciting competition at this stimulating event, where parking and admission are free of charge. In addition to the action in the rings, attendees are invited to browse the shopping area for items such as handcrafted jewelry and stylish equestrian wear, while enjoying a variety of delicious foods. And it’s fun for the whole family on Saturday, August 19 when “Family Day” brings pony rides, a petting zoo, as well as many other family oriented activities to the Horse Show.
