National Coverage of the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo with Rick Lamb

Daily 72 Presents The Horse Show LIVE! with Rick Lamb,

Bringing National Coverage to the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Durango

October 5-7, 2007

Rick Lamb travels the world to capture notable aspects of the equestrian lifestyle for his award-winning, nationally syndicated TV, radio and web-streamed program. The Rocky Mountain Horse Expo specializes in presenting horse enthusiasts with the best of the equestrian world. So, with a background is as eye-catching as the Rockies in autumn, the Horse Expo in Durango is the prime place for Rick to set up The Horse Show LIVE!

Rick plans to be on site and around town for several days, bringing Durango—and its traditional western style—to national attention, and reminding his audiences that southwest Colorado continues to honor that icon of the West, the horse.

A gracious interviewer and knowledgeable horseman himself, Rick will put his relaxed style to work taping interviews with clinicians before live Horse Expo audiences (with time allowed for audience questions).

Friday: Rick will speak with Dennis Pennington on “Selecting the Right Gaited Horse,” discussing in depth the attributes of the different gaited breeds, and how to match the breed characteristics to the individual’s requirements.

Saturday: Rick interviews Mike Ross about “Prepping the Young Horse for Starting Under Saddle.” Rick and Mike will talk about establishing the kind of relationship in the horse’s early years that will help it to accept and understand subsequent training.

Sunday: Mike Kevil will be Rick’s guest, and the two will discuss the all-important secrets of “Understanding the Equine Mind.”

Rick will also speak at the special Friday youth program, The Right Start, on key attributes of being a good horseman.

In between interviews, Rick will roam the grounds to capture additional interviews and venture into Durango to shoot film for his program on RFD-TV. He’ll spend time at his booth, too, talking about the broadcasting life and autographing copies of his two books, Revolution in Horsemanship (co-authored with Dr. Robert M. Miller) and Horse Smarts for the Busy Rider. Rick also plans to enjoy some after-hours time at the Durango Cowboy Gathering (DurangoCowboyGathering.org), which rounds out the weekend for Horse Expo visitors with evening entertainment by traditional cowboy poets and musicians.

Rick Lamb is only one of the many outstanding clinicians and speakers appearing at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Durango. The Horse Expo also features breed and stallion demonstrations, private treaty horse sales, exceptional shopping, free admission Friday for students (and a special student program), other activities for kids, and more.
