Ride a Bronc, Rope a Cow, Climb on a Camel?
Equestrian News Release
Extraordinary Entertainments—and Music, Too at the 2007 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo ~ March 9-11, in Denver
Young Ty Murrays take note! Your “eight seconds of glory” awaits you at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo: Ride a bucking bronc in the Stick Horse Rodeo, then study the art of catching a cow, buckaroo-style, with roping lessons from M Lazy C’s Randy Myers. Afterwards, put your boots up and set a spell while you and your family relax to the music of singer-songwriter, Templeton Thompson. It’s all happening several times each day in the KYGO Stick Horse Arena—and it’s all part of admission to the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo.
Now, about that camel. In Denver? Yes. At the Horse Expo? Yes, again. For rides? Got that right, too. Walkabout Camels (http://www.walkaboutcamels.com) brings a new look to the Horse Expo, with rides on an obliging dromedary named Zambee. The good natured camel waits beside a tall stand where the rider easily mounts—no special skills or clothing required. While her usual job is bringing a sampling of the desert life to riders at rodeos, fairs and festivals, Zambee and her owner have also played an important role in the training of our Special Forces.
Experience an ancient form of locomotion (rides cost $5) and pose for what may be the most unusual photograph in your family album. Zambee loves to mug for the camera.
At the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo, families will find plenty to please the youngest and oldest and everyone in between. Programs, seminars, horse demos and sales, great shopping—and good food, too. For more information, visit http://www.rockymountainhorseexpo.com or call (303)292-4981.
The Rocky Mountain Horse Expo, March 9-11 at the National Western Complex in Denver. A great place to play with the whole family, so come early and stay late.
