RV Sales of Broward Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon Team Supports a Great Cause

Wellington, FL – March 26, 2007 – On Saturday, March 24, 2007, at the Sidelines Triathlon, the RV Sales of Broward team completed the competition and celebrated the success of the fundraiser for the Equestrian Aid Foundation, despite a setback in the jumping phase.

The event features 12 top riders in three disciplines, which include polo, dressage and show jumping. Composed of Olypmic show jumper Nona Garson, international dressage rider Bent Jensen and polo player Martin Estrada, RV Sales of Broward had a solid dressage performance, scoring in the high 70s. However, Estrada had a spill in the gambler’s choice format jumping phase, and the team lost the opportunity to earn valuable points. In the polo phase, the team pulled it back together and finished in fourth place.

“Considering that we lost all points from the jumping phase, I think we came back and did pretty well,” joked team coach and RV Sales of Broward president GiGi Stetler. “While the event is set up as a competition, the true reason we’re here is for the Equestrian Aid Foundation, so no matter what, those in need succeed.”

This year marked the fourth consecutive year that Stetler has sponsored a triathlon team, which she said was only one way that she likes to give back to the equestrian community. RV Sales of Broward actively sponsors numerous equestrian events through the year, including the Winter Equestrian Festival, the Hampton Classic and the Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic.

RV Sales of Broward opened its doors in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in 1986 and has a location in West Palm Beach. As a horseperson and avid competitor, Stetler understands the need for a place to call home while traveling. She has developed her business on the show circuit to cater exclusively to an equestrian clientele and to meet her clients’ needs for affordable luxury housing.

The Sidelines Equestrian Triathlon™ raises money for the Equestrian Aid Foundation (EAF). EAF'S mission is to build a membership-based organization to assist anyone in the equestrian world suffering from life threatening illness or victims of catastrophic accidents and injuries by providing direct financial support for their medical and other basic needs. Their pledge is to treat clients with dignity and respect while promising their members the highest level of fiduciary responsibilities with their dues and donations.
