National Horse Week Celebration with Young Ontario Riders to be Featured on Popular Television Series and in Blaze News™

TORONTO—June 6, 2007—Jade Allan, Paula MacPherson and Michael Dalgleish and their favorite horses – Aurora, Rockette and Paris – were among the young riders at the Western Riding Club Open House Sunday, June 3rd who will be featured in The Saddle Club™ television series along with their coach/instructor, Tanya Merrett. The three students were among dozens of young riders, their families and horse fans celebrating National Horse Week in Canada (June 2-10, 2007) at Blacks Equine Centre, Hannon, ON).

The Open House featured Western trail riding classes, demonstrations of Western and English riding, reigning, pony rides and other events. Highlights of the event included demonstrations of reigning by Ashley Black, of Blacks Equine Centre and 10-year-old Jade Allan, a student at the Western Riding Club, and English show jumping by riders from the Blue Moon Equestrian Centre. Jade Allan, said she had been practicing two hours per day to get ready for the event. Like the others kids, she said: “I do it because I love horses.”

The mini-series of Saddle Club Video Journals filmed at Blacks Equine Centre will feature Darcy Young, a 10-year-old student at Chisholm Public School, as on-air reporter. She will also report on the events for a special Saddle Club issue of Blaze News™. “It was a fun to interview these great kids and watch them perform,” said Darcy Young. “I was really impressed by how much time they spend practicing and taking care of their horses.”

The Saddle Club™, based on the best-selling novels by Bonnie Bryant, has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of kids all over the world. The television series stars three young heroines, Stevie, Carole and Lisa, who form the Saddle Club at Pine Hollow Stables and their horses – Starlight, Belle and Prancer. “It’s great to be able to showcase young riders in The Saddle Club™ series which celebrates friendship, fun, adventure and horses,” said Karin Lippert of Protocol Entertainment, Inc.

The Saddle Club Video Journals are special educational features created for broadcast on public television stations in the US. The Saddle Club ™ is co-produced by Crawford Productions, PTY Ltd.
