Saddle Ridge, Florida's Best Kept Secret, Found Near Charming Town of Sebring

Sebring, FL - February 5, 2008 - Saddle Ridge, an all-natural equestrian community, is an environmentally conscious development that combines equestrian lifestyle with green, eco-friendly living. The community, currently under construction, is located near the historic lakeside town of Sebring. Saddle Ridge spans 1,200 acres and offers 10 acre parcels for homes and horse farms. It has been designed to preserve the natural state of the land and ensure privacy for its residents.

In addition to being the first of its kind with regard to its environmentally safe development practices, this equestrian haven is safely nestled between tranquil oak trees, spectacular lakes, orange groves and picturesque Sebring. Known as the "City on the Circle," Sebring is located in Highlands County, southeast of Tampa in central Florida. The city has a distinctive circular layout, with all roads leading to and from the center of its old-fashioned town.

Built in the early 1900s, Sebring's town center is encircled by eclectic shops that provide everything from antiques and jewelry to haircuts and shoes. Its "small-town feel" is complemented with family businesses, holiday festivals, community events, and affordable living.

Chartered in 1913, Sebring has been designated a "1920's Historic District" on the National Register of Historic Places. The town offers such activities as the Highlands Art League & Museum, the Sebring Historical Society, the Highlands Civic Center, a public library, and the Highlands Little Theater. Not far from Highlands Hammock State Park and the metropolitan areas of Tampa, Orlando, and West Palm Beach, Highlands County and the Lake Placid area have an estimated population of around 100,000 people.

One of the town's main attractions is the Sebring International Raceway. This raceway was created in the 1950s on a former airbase called Hendricks Field, a WW-II bomber training base used by the U.S. Army Air Force. Sports cars were raced on the airbase's unused runways, sparking the creation of the renowned "12 Hours of Sebring." The race, which is part of the American Le Mans Series, is still held today and thousands of spectators attend every year.

Saddle Ridge and its all-natural land conservation harmonize perfectly with the ambience of historic Sebring. The equestrian mecca provides miles of bridle trails, a 20 acre equestrian community center with a covered arena, a dressage arena, a hunter/jumper field, a community barn and acres of pastures and fields. Nearby lakes offer a vast range of outdoor activities for boaters and fishermen.

Currently Saddle Ridge is offering new guests a special introductory promotion. This environmentally conscious development is offering a select number of 10 acre parcels, with a 3,000 square foot custom home, for $690,000. Additionally, the first 20 closed contracts will receive a free three-stall barn.
