Saddlebred Rescue Gets a Home for the Holidays on behalf of the ASPCA

The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) has recently awarded a grant of $4,630 from the ASPCA Equine Fund to Saddlebred Rescue Inc. The grant will be used to provide a new run-in shed to house American Saddlebred horses rescued from slaughter.

“We’re thrilled to be selected by the ASPCA for this grant,” said Pat Johnson, Executive Director of Saddlebred Rescue. “It provides recognition of our efforts by an incredible organization, and the grant will go a long way toward helping the horses we are working so hard to find new homes for.”

The ASPCA Equine Fund is devoted to promoting humane care and respect for horses, and is an integral part of the ASPCA’s Equine Programs. Throughout the year, equine grants are given to rescue groups and humane organizations across the country by the ASPCA to support and further their efforts.

“In today’s economy, these grants show organizations such as Saddlebred Rescue how much we value and appreciate their tireless efforts,” said Jacque Schultz, Senior Director of Community Outreach for the ASPCA. “We hope our grant program will continue to aid horses nationwide and we wish Saddlebred Rescue continued success with its mission.”
