Selleck, Morris, and Anthony Dominate Equitation Classes at Portuguese Bend National Horse Show

Rolling Hills Estates, CA- September 13- Karen Healey Stables spent last week showing at Ernie Howlett Park for the Portuguese Bend National Horse Show. Known for producing top equitation riders, Healey and her students had top results again at Portuguese Bend.
One of the most successful riders at the show was Hannah Selleck and her equitation mount Kyle. Selleck won the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search class, the Washington International Horse Show Equitation class, and the WCE Junior/Amateur Medal class.
Michelle Morris also had a fantastic week. She and Carfelio won the PCHA warm-up class over 57 other competitors. Morris also won the CPHA Junior/Amateur Hunt Seat Medal class. She finished second in the Equitation 14 & under over fences class and third in the ASPCA Maclay class.
Carly Anthony, daughter of trainer Cara Anthony, rode Simply Irresistible to second place in the CPHA Junior/Amateur Hunt Seat Medal Class. In the PCHA 14 & Under Medal Finals, Anthony finished third after three rounds of competition.
Fred Bauer and his dependable mount Hampton Court won a class in the Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper division.
Torie Immel and Regal won the top prize in the $10,000 Seahorse Open Jumper Classic.
As the summer show season winds down, Karen Healey Stables will prepare for the Fall Indoor Circuit. Healey will judge the New England Medal Finals this fall.
