Support Senate Bill S. 2283, to Reserve the Right to Ride on Public Land
Equestrian News Release
Okay trail advocates—here's your opportunity to show support for the new bill that is going through the Senate and will replace the Right to Ride bill. At this time, it has been referred to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.
This bill aims to preserve the use and access of pack and saddle stock animals on public land administered by the National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, or the Forest Service on which there is a historical tradition of the use of pack and saddle stock animals.
Sometimes other groups (hiking and biking enthusiasts for instance) who also use the these public lands want to ban the use of horses. This bill will prevent that from happening.
