Wayne, IL - March 11, 2009 - Showplace Productions is one of the top horse show production and management companies in the United States and led by Pat Boyle, who has nearly 30 years of experience in horse show management. Boyle and his team will host the 2009 Showplace Spring Spectacular Horse Show Series on June 2-7 and June 9-14, 2009, at the beautiful Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, IL.
Boyle has managed horse shows at the Lamplight Equestrian Center for 10 years and helped it grow into one of the premier competition facilities in the country. He has worked with the owners of the facility to make improvements that are for the benefit of the exhibitors.
"We work very well together. I have shown horses all of my life, so I know what the needs of exhibitors are from the time they arrive on the grounds to the time they leave," Boyle explained. "It all revolves around making sure the exhibitors are as comfortable as possible. We provide beautiful show grounds, great prize money and great competition, and treat them as we would want to be treated. We want to show them our commitment to constantly improving the venue for all levels of competitors."
In 2004, Showplace Productions and the Lamplight Equestrian Center made a concerted effort to increase the size and scope of the Showplace Spring Spectacular series. They have increased prize money to provide some of the best purses available for all levels of riders and work every year on improving the footing and atmosphere at the shows.
When more exhibitors started attending the Showplace Spring Spectacular, Boyle and the owners of the Lamplight facility realized that they could make the competitions a showcase on the hunter/jumper circuit.
"Both the Lamplight group and Showplace have taken a large part of the proceeds each year and put it right back into the facility," Boyle pointed out. "We address the footing and keep it fresh each and every year. We add numerous plantings such as trees and flowers every spring. Between the two of us, we recently purchased all of the stabling tents where we house all of the exhibitors. We have addressed the needs for VIP seating and nice seating areas for the general public that create a great ambiance for viewing both hunters and jumpers. On the safety issue, we keep working on the separation of the motorized vehicles and the horses and children."
Showplace Productions itself has assisted in the creation of beautiful new jumps and floral arrangements for the five show rings every year. Boyle added, "My team works very hard every year to help the Lamplight group get the facility ready to go for the new season ahead. We take pride in the fact that it is a beautiful facility to show your horse at, and I support the efforts of Steve Cooper and Tom Moxley on their growth and improvements."
The team at Showplace Productions is there to provide a quality experience for everyone. "Our staff believes that each customer is as important as the next. Friendliness and approachability is a very important trademark in today's marketplace," Boyle said.
Along with the Lamplight Equestrian Center, Showplace Productions runs horse shows at Ledges Sporting Horses in Roscoe, IL, which provides two great facilities within an hour of each other. Boyle believes that these two show facilities have brought a high level of hunter/jumper competition to the Midwest, and it is Boyle's belief that the Showplace Spring Spectacular series brings the best prize money and quality of classes for every level of rider.
He noted, "I feel very strongly about developing young riders. We offer children and adults the chance to compete in the grand prix ring just like the big guys. This is where we are a little different; I think that the lower level individuals are just as important as the higher level exhibitors. I believe in giving the lower level show rings the same attention as the main hunter ring as well as the grand prix ring."
Boyle is looking forward to this year's Showplace Spring Spectacular and believes that their product will be a welcome addition to many people's schedule.
"We have kept the prize money the same as 2008, and we will also be offering the same great prize money in our Leading Rider Series. People in the Midwest will be able to compete at 10 'AA' shows right here in their backyard; they will not have to travel out of our state to enjoy show jumping at its best. The money that exhibitors can save on shipping, airfare, and hotel might allow them to compete at a couple of extra shows this year. We welcome everyone to our shows and hope we can provide them with a fantastic show experience that they want to return to every year."
