Tampa, FL - February 26, 2008 - The Tampa Equestrian Festival, produced by Stadium Jumping Inc., is currently accepting vendor applications for the three weeks of hunter/jumper competition. Held at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center at the Florida State Fairgrounds, the Tampa Equestrian Festival kicks off on March 19 and will continue through April 6. This show features some of the very best hunters and jumpers in the nation, and exhibitors range from children and junior riders to grand prix show jumpers and Olympic veterans.
The first competition, the Suncoast International, starts on March 19 and concludes on March 23, with the Tampa Bay Classic following from March 26-30. The final week, the Tournament of Champions, will run from April 1-6. The pinnacle of the horse show series is the $200,000 Budweiser American Invitational CSI 4*. This prestigious annual tradition is held under lights at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday, April 5, 2008.
Along with the celebrated American Invitational, the Tampa Equestrian Festival, recently extended from two to three weeks, will feature exciting classes and incredible prize money.
Some of the main attractions of the show include the $30,000 Grand Prix of Florida, held on Sunday, March 23; the $25,000 WEF Challenge, scheduled for Thursday, March 27; and the $75,000 FEI World Cup Qualifier and Grand Prix of Tampa CSI 3*-W on March 30. Additionally, the final $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup, held on Thursday, April 3, will be the last qualifier for the American Invitational.
Attracting a variety of exhibitors, sponsors, horse owners, and spectators, the venue is a stellar location for vendors of all varieties. The Tampa Competitions will be held at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center (Florida State Fairgrounds) Tampa, Florida. Horse Van and exhibitor entrance is at Orient Road and I-4. Westbound I-4 traffic should exit at U.S. 301. Turn Right (west) on Martin Luther King and go to stop light turn right (north) on Orient Road follow to Fairgrounds entrance on right. From I-75 north or south use Exit 52B. Take Martin Luther King Blvd west to Orient Road, turn right, competition showgrounds are ½ mile on the right.
