World's Richest Stock Horse Competition to feature top stock horses and trainers

PASO ROBLES, CA: The World's Richest Stock Horse Competition will draw the world's most talented, athletic stock horses and their riders to Paso Robles, Calif., Aug. 23, 2008. The event, sponsored by Golden Hills Auto Center in Paso Robles, will begin 6 p.m. in the Paso Robles Event Center's rodeo arena.
The World's Richest Stock Horse Competition is an Open Bridle Class, with a decreased entry fee in 2008 of $3,500, and an added $30,000 to the payout monies.
Horse and rider will be scored on herd work, rein work, and cow (fence) work. The competitors with the highest composite score at the end of the event will be named the 2008 World's Richest Stock Horse Champions.
Ward River Ranch stallion, Smart Little Pepinic, and stock horse trainer, John Ward, won the 2007 championship title. The event will held in conjunction with the National Stock Horse Association (NSHA) Snaffle Bit Futurity, Aug. 17-24, 2008.
