Stolen Horse International Kicks Off Second Fundraising Auction

Shelby, NC, October 16, 2006 – Stolen Horse International, Inc, aka NetPosse.com, will soon kick off its second fundraising auction through eBay's Mission Fish Organization for nonprofit organizations.

We have no professional fundraising organization to help us, and to make this auction a huge success, Stolen Horse International (SHI) needs your help. In 2005, we sold 51 donated items, yielding a little over $2,000. While that was much appreciated, that is really a small amount if SHI is to continue to grow as it has. We want this year’s auction in November to be bigger and better!

We are expanding the auction and making this one of our main fund raisers for the year 2006 with a little help from friends like you. Already many other clinicians such as Monty Roberts and Lynn Palm have joined our auction with donations from their organizations as well as magazine companies, artists and horse specialists and many friends of Stolen Horse International like you.

Please consider making a donation to our auction from your business or personally. Whether big or small, every donation is appreciated. You may view last year’s auction items at: http://www.netposse.com/shi_auction.htm

How do you benefit from our auction? Once your item is received, you or your business will receive a small advertisement on our website to show our appreciation for your kindness. Your contact information and website link will be provided in the ad so auction goers can visit your place of business. You will also receive free eBay auction exposure paid for by Stolen Horse International.

Stolen Horse International, Inc. is a federal 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing services to horse owners like no one else in the world. The primary goal of our organization is to bring missing horses home after theft or disaster strikes. Please go to http://www.netposse.com to view our site, purpose and the good work that we do. Our NetPosse Volunteer Network and Idaho Alert, similar to the Amber Alert, were started in 1997 and involve thousands. There may be as many as 40,000 horses stolen each year with many more missing through civil theft. We are the only nonprofit organization helping victims and offering educational programs.

Stolen Horse International and NetPosse have become synonymous with horse theft. Anyone who researches horse theft or stolen horses on the Internet will pull up a link relating to SHI. Our non-advertised website is viewed by an astounding number of people, between 40,000-70,000 per month, which has generated more than 10 MILLION hits on the site in the last 12 months! Out of the many horses reported as stolen or missing last year, almost half were recovered! Tack and trailers can also be reported to NetPosse.

If you ask someone whose horse has been stolen or become missing how SHI and NetPosse have supported and aided them in the process of searching and/or recovery, you will discover overwhelming praise and gratitude. If you ask someone to put a price on these services, I bet they can't.

If you open your heart and decide to send an auction item all we need is the description of the gift, black out dates (if applicable) and the value of the gift. Whether big or small, every donation is appreciated. You can send the donation to our physical address:

SHI Auction

C/O Debi Metcalfe

1902 Barbee Rd.

Shelby, NC 28150

We need your donation sent ASAP so we will have ample time to photograph and place all items onto the website before the auction date in November, which is currently projected to be right after Thanksgiving.

All donations to Stolen Horse International, Inc. are tax deductible and a Tax Receipt will be issued for your donation. If you do not need a receipt just state that on the form below. You will find the auction donation form at this link in PDF format. Contact us for a donation form or print one from this online location. http://www.netposse.com/auction.donation.form.pdf

Please Share with SHI and help SHI/NetPosse continue to help bring horses home to the families that love and miss them with your donation. Help us to make a difference in the lives of countless victims each year. Thank you for your support.
