Taylor Ann Adams Victorious in 2007 USEF Pony Medal Final

Adams and Casady of Over the Hill Farm Place Six Pony Hunters

Lexington, KY - August 27, 2007 - Over the Hill Farm trainer Bill Schaub of Sanford, FL, is pleased to announce that his student, Taylor Ann Adams of Eads, TN, co-trained with Bibby Farmer Hill and Don Stewart Jr., won the 2007 USEF Pony Medal Final. Adams beat out 197 other young riders in the competition.

Adams was placed fourth after the first round. The top 25 riders in the class were called back for a second round. Adams rode impeccably on Millpond Celebrity and was awarded the top prize.

"We are so proud of Taylor Ann," said Schaub. "She has been working so hard these past few years, and it really paid off for her. She rode beautifully the entire week."

In addition to her medal victory, Adams rode Sassafras Creek to the reserve championship in the Medium Green Pony Hunter division. Sassafras Creek, owned by Bibby Farmer Hill, was fifth in the model, tenth under saddle, and second over fences. Sassafras Creek was also the Reserve Grand Green Pony Hunter Champion.

Fellow Over the Hill rider Shaun Casady of Kingston, TN, placed ninth overall in the Pony Medal Finals on Unexpected. Casady was third after the first round.

Casady had multiple rides in the hunter divisions and brought home ribbons with each pony. On Watch Me, owned by Robert Hunt, he was third overall in the Large Green Pony Hunters. Watch Me was fifth in the under saddle class and jumped to third place in the over fences class.

"Shawn is a rider that has shown so much diversity this year," Schaub stated. "He's been able to ride every pony that I hand him, and his consistency at Pony Finals this year was amazing."

On Showboat, owned by Anne Gardner, Casady was eighth overall in the regular Large Pony Hunters. They were 11th over fences, ninth in the model and had good hack scores. Showboat was the champion professional auction graduate, reserve champion Virginia-bred pony, and third overall in the High Score Pure/Half Welsh Pony Hunter division.

First Impression, owned by Katie Dinan LLC, was seventh overall in the Medium Green Pony Hunters. The cute pony and Casady were third under saddle and sixth in the model. On Blue Crush, owned by Reid Patton, Casady won the Small Pony Hunter model class and was tenth under saddle. Casady also stood Der Mondprinz, owned by Natalie Abouelata, to first place in the Small Green Pony Hunter model class.
