Middleburg, VA - December 9, 2008 - Fox Chase Farm, based in Middleburg, VA, is pleased to announce that the 2009 $20,000 TCH Fox Chase Show Series is now an affiliate of the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA). The USHJA is the national affiliate for hunters and jumpers, providing many programs and educational materials for equestrians to grow within the industry. The Fox Chase Farm is the first non-rated horse shows series to be affiliated with the organization.
"Fox Chase Farm is so proud to be an Affiliate Organization of the USHJA!" stated Maureen Hanley, Director of Operations of Fox Chase Farm, LLC. "The USHJA has so many great programs, and they always have the interests of their equestrians and horses in mind. By showing at our non-rated series, the exhibitors are given the opportunity to have national exposure and recognition for their many talents."
The 2009 $20,000 TCH Fox Chase Show Series is an annual non-rated show circuit for local equestrians. The farm hosts two shows a month, and the upcoming 2009 series starts on January 10. Competitions continue throughout the year until late September, and the high-point competitors are honored at the series' year-end banquet. In addition, a total of $20,000 in prize money will be awarded to the series' leading horses and riders.
"We strive to make our local show series the best in the area," commented Hanley. "In addition to all of the exciting awards and prize money, we want to provide our exhibitors with the same competition quality as nationally rated shows. We want our exhibitors to benefit from their experience at Fox Chase Farm and feel prepared to advance to the next level."
For 2009, Fox Chase Farm will choose a Junior Rider, Adult Rider, Professional, and Trainer to be recognized for the USHJA Affiliate Sportsmanship Awards Program. Additionally, specified classes at the shows will to be considered for the Affiliate Equitation Awards Program.
"We are very excited for the local equestrians," Hanley noted, "and we are proud of the fact that Fox Chase Farm is the first show in the area to get our local equestrians recognized for their talents!"
Along with the farm's recent developments, Fox Chase Farm has invited Peggy Smith to be the series' official photographer for 2009. In addition, the farm now provides free online classifieds for local equestrians and businesses in the area. This free service is available on the farm's website. Members of the equestrian community can buy and sell horses and ponies, tack, farm equipment, cars, trucks, trailers, and post Help Wanted ads.
