TOBA Announces 2008 Seminar Schedule

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) has announced its 2008 seminar and clinic schedule. The schedule includes four new owner seminars, a three-day breeding clinic and two pedigree and conformation clinics. TOBA’s goal is to provide industry participants with the knowledge necessary to improve their likelihood for success in the Thoroughbred business. The seminars, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will feature discussions by industry experts. The 2008 seminar schedule is as follows:
New Owner Seminars
February 22, Gulfstream Park, Hallandale Beach, Florida
April 18, Prairie Meadows, Altoona, Iowa
May 1, Churchill Downs, Louisville, Kentucky
July 18, Woodbine, Toronto, Canada
Breeding Clinic
June 6 – 8, Lexington, Kentucky
Pedigree and Conformation Clinic
August 4, Saratoga Springs, New York
October 6 – 7, Lexington, Kentucky

TOBA, based in Lexington, Ky., was formed in 1961 and is a national trade organization of leading Thoroughbred horse breeders and owners. TOBA’s mission is to “improve the economics, integrity and pleasure of the sport on behalf of Thoroughbred owners and breeders.” Projects managed by TOBA include the American Graded Stakes Committee, The Racing Game, Sales Integrity Program and Claiming Crown. TOBA is the owner of The Blood-Horse Inc., and is represented on the Board of Directors of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association as a founding member.
