Trail Rider Expands to Eight Issues for 2007
Equestrian News Release
Louisville, CO – In an era where it’s harder than ever for publications to earn market share amidst multi-media overload, Trail Rider magazine is responding to increasing customer demand with another new issue for 2007, bringing the total per year to eight.
Fueling this growth is the affinity of baby boomers for the saddle. Many have waited years for this moment – kids are grown and gone, bank accounts a little fatter without chicks in the nest – so they indulge a lifelong desire to saddle up with equine friends and hit the trail. Naturally, they do it with Trail Rider in hand, the definitive where-to-ride, what-to-pack, and horsecare how-to publication.
New for 2007 is the Summer Special Issue, featuring a comprehensive Trail Breed Directory and Breed Associations’ Organized Rides listings. Trail riders are a friendly group, bonding with those they meet along the trail, and on organized trail rides – especially those that focus on the reader’s favorite breed. So, this new Summer Special Issue is sure to be popular. It joins the Spring Special Issue Where-to-Ride Guide, which debuted in 2006 with an impressive 160 pages.
Pat Eskew, group publisher for the Horse Media Group, publishers of Trail Rider, Spin to Win Rodeo and Perfect Horse magazines, said, “Trail riding continues to grow in the United States, as people seek to reconnect with nature in the most natural way – on the back of a horse. From newcomers to the horse world, to show-weary competition veterans, trail riding is the respite they’re looking for, and Trail Rider feeds that desire with all the information and community connections they need. We look forward to the continued expansion of Trail Rider in the years ahead.”
