New Websites Provide Convenience, Education for Horse Owners

New York, NY (November 3, 2008) -- Pfizer Animal Health recently launched two new websites that offer education on deworming topics, as well as the convenience of an online reminder system. RotationisKey.com allows horse owners to register for emails customized to help them manage the deworming schedules of their horses. The site Equimaxhorse.com offers a wide variety of educational materials on proper deworming and the damage that tapeworms and other parasites can cause in the horse.

Effective deworming is a cornerstone of good horse health management, but decisions on what types of dewormers to use and when to deworm can be challenging for horse owners. Through RotationisKey.com, Pfizer Animal Health allows owners to choose to follow either the Daily Plus daily deworming schedule or the Rotation is Key paste deworming program. By registering with the site, owners will receive appropriate reminder emails that will help them to assure that horses get the product they need, when they need it.

“RotationisKey.com is all about making rotation convenient for horse owners,” said Kristin Ruff, Equine Marketing Manager at Pfizer Animal Health. “Veterinarians agree that rotating between chemical classes is important for proper deworming, and this site is designed to make those decisions easy.”

Pfizer Animal Health’s other new site, Equimaxhorse.com, provides a hub for information on the company’s EQUIMAX(R) (ivermectin 1.87%/praziquantel 14.03%) Paste dewormer, as well as education on topics centered on parasitism, tapeworm infections and their effects in the horse. EQUIMAX is an apple-flavored, broad-spectrum combination equine dewormer that kills important internal parasites, including tapeworms and bots, with a single dose. EQUIMAX is the only broad-spectrum dewormer approved for use in foals as young as four weeks, pregnant and lactating mares and breeding stallions.
