West Coast Active Riders Announce Dates for Spruce Meadows Prix de Nations Trials

Wellington, FL – January 17, 2006 – Preparation for the 2006 West Coast Active Riders (WCAR) Spruce Meadows Prix de Nations program is currently underway as the WCAR organization continues to improve the California Show Jumping scene. Dale Harvey, one of WCAR's original founders and the new Executive Director of WCAR, is focusing on High Performance issues and matters pertaining to Grand Prix riders. Jackie Freundlich and her company Equestrisol are handling marketing, advertising, management, and scholarship programs.
Tammy Chipko, member of the 2006 1.40M Spruce Meadows team, has taken over the Spruce Meadows Prix de Nations program and will have applications available during the first week of the Indio Desert Circuit. 2006 Spruce Meadows applications are also available online at http://www.westcoastactiveriders.com. Riders must be members of the WCAR in order to compete on the team and can join the organization online at the official WCAR website.
The dates for the trials are:
Palms Classic Horse Show
March 22-26, 2006
Trial I – Friday evening, March 24
Trial II – Sunday, March 26 (Classics)
Oaks Blenheim Spring Classic I
March 29- April 2, 2006
Trial III – Sunday, April 2 (Classics)
Show Park Ranch and Coast
May 9-14, 2006
Trial IV – Sunday, May 14 (Classics)
Every rider must compete in at least 3 of the trials to be considered, and the top 3 out of 4 scores will be totaled for the final score.
