CN’s “Dance Floor Madness” Celebration rounds off Wellington’s Winter Equestrian Festival

CN’s “Dance Floor Madness” Celebration rounds off Wellington’s Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, FL – March, 12, 2006 – Graciously hosted by CN Chief Executive Officer Hunter Harrison and his wife Jeannie, the special events pavilion at Palm Beach Polo and Equestrian Club was elegantly transformed into The White Stallion night club for their “Dance Floor Madness” celebration on the last evening of the 2006 Winter Equestrian Festival.

Guests were greeted with a complimentary “White Stallion” fruit cocktail, and faithful to a totally “white” theme, Copacabana chic collided with art-deco and all the pzazz of a Caribbean folk-fest. Raising the temperature to boiling point, an African-American group of breakdancers orchestrated their contortions to the pulsating beat of jungle drums as they gyrated their way around the marquee resplendent with white “ticky tacky” palm trees. Serving “stations” dished up plates of international cuisine that encircled the globe by their very variety – Chinese, Italian, American, Indian, accompanied by a running commentary from circulating celebrity “chef”, and internationally renowned arena gateman, Pedro Cebulka.

The suggested all-white attire, loyally adopted by the majority of party-goers, was accessorized with complimentary feather boas and fake-fur-trimmed platter hats for the women, and white straw Casablanca trilbies for the men. International riders, Rodrigo Pessoa and Jimmy Torano further exploited the suggestion by topping off their dark locks with temporarily whitened hair.

“Dance Floor Madness” being the order of the night following a long circuit, and with foot-tapping live music provided by the hugely talented, Atlanta-based entertainment group, Party-on-the-Moon, many of the international riders were tempted onto the floor to shimmy the night away.

They will all be back in the saddle today, however, for the $150,000 US Open Jumper Championship, presented by CN, (a member event of the AGA Grand Prix Series of Show Jumping).
