Winter Equestrian Festival Offers Children’s Fair for Community

Wellington, FL – February 27, 2006 – Aside from showcasing the crème de la crème of horses and riders in the country, the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) offers a variety of activities for community members. Held at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, Florida, the Winter Equestrian Festival began on January 25 and will continue in Wellington through March 19, 2006. Produced by Stadium Jumping, Inc., WEF represents home for equestrians during the winter months and affects the Village of Wellington both economically and socially.
On Saturday, March 4, WEF is hosting the annual Children’s Fair. From 11:00 am until 4:00 p.m., equestrians and members of the community can bring their families out for a day of fun in the sun. The Winter Equestrian Festival Children’s Fair will provide such entertainment as pony rides, a petting zoo, and face painting. This year’s special features include a challenging rock wall for climbing, a Western-themed Moonwalk, and a unique “Jurassic Adventure.” Kids can take a plunge on the giant slide or take home keepsakes from the balloon artist.
Village of Wellington residents can view some of the world’s best hunter, jumper, and equitation riders during this year’s Winter Equestrian Festival. As the largest and longest running equestrian sporting competition in the world, the WEF circuit hosts impressive competitions and offers a glimpse into the lives of serious equestrian athletes.
ADMISSION: General Admission Tickets are available at the gate.

Thursday and Friday: Adults- $5.00, Seniors (65)/Children 13 & Over- $5.00
Friday Evening performances when scheduled: Adults - $10.00 - Srs. (65)/Child - $5.00
Saturday: Adults- $10.00, Seniors (65)/Children 13 & Over- $5.00
Sunday: Adults- $15.00, Seniors (65)/Children 13 & Over- $5.00
Weekly General Admission Pass- $30.00
Seasonal General Admission Pass- $125.00
