Women LUV Horses Showcases Legendary Women Presenters

OCALA, FLORIDA (August 24, 2008) – Lynn Palm's Women LUV Horses Retreat scheduled December 5-7 in the City of Industry, California, will include several legendary horse trainers/clinicians who will present several training clinics and lectures for participants. Cynthia Cantleberry, Sharon Camarillo, Barbara Schulte, Jane Savoie, Sandy Collier and Lynn Palm will be offering exciting and stimulating clinics designed to help women, young ladies and little girls accomplish their horse dreams.

Cynthia Cantleberry is owner of Cantleberry's Golden Hill Farm in Paso Robles, Calif. Her many accolades include induction into the 2005 PCQHA Hall of Fame, 14 AQHA World Champion trail horses, two AQHA World Champion hunter under saddle horses, three AYQHA World Champion trail horses, and numerous AQHA Reserve World Championships in various disciplines. She has shown and trained Quarter Horses, Appaloosas and Paints for more than 50 years and has been married to trainer Red Cantleberry since 1970.

Sharon Camarillo is a National Cowgirl Hall of Fame inductee whose career has encompassed many facets of the western and equestrian world. She was drawn to horses since childhood, and honed her riding and roping skills during her college rodeo days. She graduated from California Polytechnic University—known for its famous rodeo team—with a degree in Agricultural Business and Economics. She strongly believes in the power of education, and over the last 30 years has traveled as a clinician to 35 states and five foreign countries, as well as all Canadian provinces, working with more than 10,000 students and their horses. Among her many awards, Sharon received the National Cowboy Hall of Fame Tad Lucas Award and the Western and English Manufacturer's Association Top Hand Award.

Barbara Schulte is a professional cutting horse trainer and certified personal performance coach. She trains and shows at the national level and been the first woman to win national championships, including the NCHA Derby, NCHA Superstakes Classic and the prestigious August Futurity. She is nationally recognized as an expert clinician. As a personal performance coach, Barbara helps riders of all disciplines develop confidence and reach their full potential. She pioneered the integration of personal performance training into the equestrian world, and is a gifted teacher. She has served as vice president of the National Cutting Horse Association, has appeared on Good Morning America, ESPN and Outdoor Life Network. Jane Savoie wears many hats in the horse industry. She is a dressage competitor, coach, instructor, clinician, speaker and author. She has been a member of the U.S. Equestrian Team and won the Bronze Medal in Barcelona, Spain. She was also the 1996 and 2004 Olympic Dressage coach for the Canadian 3-Day Event Team in Atlanta and Athens. In the 2000 Olympics she coached several top dressage and 3-Day Event riders and assisted Susan Blinks in securing a Bronze Medal for the U.S. Dressage Team. She has also won nine Horse of the Year Awards and three National Freestyle Championships. Jane's books and videos are highly successful, including her best-selling sports psychology book That Winning Feeling, which is in its ninth printing and has been translated into several languages. Sandy Collier is an esteemed clinician, author and NRCHA and AQHA world champion. She competed in her first horse show when she was six years old, and continued to compete throughout her school years. As a teen, she found work at a ranch in California, where she learned more horsemanship skills. She started competing in the California Reined Cow Horse Association, and then began making a name for herself in the 1980s in CRCHA events. Among her many awards, Sandy won the 1993 NRCHA World Championship Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Division. Some of her other accomplishments include 2000 NRCHA Year-End Open Hackamore Champion, 2001 Cowhorse Classic Futurity Open Champion, and 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award by Monte Roberts. To date, she is the only female rider to win the world's toughest cow horse event. Her analytical approach to training and her consistency in the practice and show pens are highly regarded. Lynn Palm, creator of the Women LUV Horses Retreat, is one of the foremost and respected horsewomen in the world. For more than 30 years she has championed the partnership between horse and rider and is one of the few clinicians today with a proven competition record.
