World Games 2010 Foundation Selects Director of Hospitality Programs

LEXINGTON, KY-The World Games 2010 Foundation today announced that Mrs. Kim Bennett has been selected as Director of Hospitality Programs for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

As Director of Hospitality Programs, Mrs. Bennett will oversee the planning, design, sales and execution of the 2010 Games VIP hospitality program. Mrs. Bennett will also have shared responsibilities in other areas of hospitality management surrounding the Games, including working with catering companies and specialty functions that may be developed ahead of and during the event.

Most recently, Mrs. Bennett was Director of Special Events and Travel for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, in Cooperstown, New York. From 1994-2007, she was the lead coordinator of all event functions including hospitality for the annual Induction Ceremony.

"I am extremely honored to be joining the 2010 Games," said Bennett. "To be a part of an event of this magnitude, on an international level, is an incredible opportunity. I'm confident that, with the team of professionals already in place, an international event will be created like no other."

"The VIP hospitality program is an incredibly important part of the 2010 Games and we are excited Kim has joined us. With her background and talents, we are confident she will oversee a program that will provide individuals, corporations and other dignitaries a unique, memorable experience as they attend the 2010 Games," said Terry Johnson, Vice President of Sales for the World Games 2010 Foundation.

A native of Edmeston, New York, Mrs. Bennett hold an A.A.S. Tourism and Resort Marketing and Marketing Communications, from the State University of NY at Cobleskill.

The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, to be held at the Kentucky Horse Park September 25-October 10, 2010, are the world championships of the eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), and are held every four years. The Games have never before been held outside of Europe; nor have all eight disciplines ever previously been held together at a single site- both firsts that will be achieved at the Kentucky Horse Park. The Games will be broadcast on NBC Sports, which has made the largest network commitment to coverage of equestrian sport in U.S. television history. The 2010 Games are expected to have a statewide economic impact of $150 million, and current sponsors include the Rolex Company and an unprecedented $10 million title sponsor, Alltech. It is anticipated that more than 600,000 tickets will be sold for the 16-day competition.
