Oklahoma City to Host 2007 FEI World Reining Masters

The International Equestrian Federation (FEI), the international governing body for equestrian sports, has chosen Oklahoma City to host the 2007 FEI World Reining Masters which will be held during the 2007 NRHA Futurity and Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show November 22-December 1, 2007, at the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, OK. The Masters competition will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2007.
The $100,000 FEI World Reining Masters is a premier competition to find the most elite individual reiner in the world. The top rider, according to a point system, in each National Federation will qualify to compete in the World Reining Masters in Oklahoma City.
The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) and Oklahoma City hosted the inaugural FEI World Reining Masters in 2004. The best reiners from 16 different countries traveled to compete for a purse of $100,000 and gold, silver and bronze medals in two divisions; Open and Restricted.
NRHA Executive Director Dan Wall says he’s honored the FEI chose the NRHA to host the World Reining Masters. "It is such an excellent opportunity to be chosen to host the Masters again. It is the perfect way to showcase the sport of reining before a worldwide audience. We have already begun planning to make this year’s World Reining Masters a truly memorable experience for the competitors and spectators alike."
