Liza Towell-Boyd of Finally Farm won the $25,000 Kathryn G. Clark Challenge of Champions on Enticer, owned by Helen Milner, at the 85th annual Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show, the oldest continuous horse show in the country, in Blowing Rock, NC on Sunday, August 3, 2008. The class which does not have an entry fee invites all riders who have won Champion or Reserve in their division – from pony hunters to conformation hunters – to compete free of charge in this prestigious competition. Towell-Boyd almost topped her winning ride on another mount she was showing in the class named Rosalyn, owned by Betty Oare. Towell-Boyd’s two horses jumped so well, placing first and second, with Rosalyn trailing Enticer by only one point for the win. This makes it the the fourth consecutive year Towell-Boyd has ridden out of the ring with the blue ribbon and trophy, making a total of five victories in all for the 28-year-old equestrian from Camden, SC. During the first week of the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show, Towell-Boyd was also honored when she placed 6th in the World Hunter Championship Rider Awards for the North East. ...

Kentucky Horse Shows LLC is pleased to announce the updated Hagyard Challenge Series standings. The Hagyard Challenge Series is a summer-long series of seven show jumping events at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Offering $215,000 in prize money, the series will award its leading rider with a $50,000 bonus after the final event.
